Annual Conference 2021

We have arranged a pre-season meeting for everyone in the Society on Sunday 15th August at the Sports Centre, University of Herts in Hatfield.

This session will run from 10.00 till 1.00 and, as well as giving us all a chance to catch up after a long absence of meeting and matches, will feature presentations on the main refereeing issues that we need to address when the new season starts.

The training team will particularly be focusing on the experimental law changes announced this week by World Rugby which will apply to the whole of the game (adult and youth) as soon as the new season starts.

There will also be an outdoor practical season to get our referees back into the swing of things on positioning and managing the breakdown and a session for our Match Official Developers to discuss how they will approach assessing and coaching issues during the 1st half of the new season.

We will then all move down the road to St Albans RFC where the club is putting on a bar and BBQ for us.

I need to know no’s in advance so please e-mail Peter Brady to let him know if you are coming to the morning session only or to the BBQ as well.
